Beliefs
AGBSF holds to the King James Bible as the inspired, preserved word of God in the English language, according to Psalms 12:7,8; 2 Timothy 3:16, and teaches from this Bible only. We believe that all the Bible—Genesis through Revelation, according to Romans 15:4—is for us, but that it must be studied in accordance with 2 Timothy 2:15 in order to come to a complete understanding of it, and what it is saying to the world in the present dispensation (Eph. 3:2; Col. 1:25).
We are fundamental in that we believe in the inerrancy of Scripture; the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, that in him—according to Colossians 1:14-18; 2:9—dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Father, Son and Holy Ghost); The vicarious atonement for sins through his death on the Cross, according to Romans 3:23,24 and 2 Corinthians 5:19-21; Salvation by grace, and justification through his faith—upon all that believe—according to Ephesians 2:8 and Romans 3:22; 5:1; his bodily resurrection from the dead, bodily ascension up to heaven, and his present position in heaven, according to the accounts of this in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and the Book of Acts; the bodily resurrection and catching up to heaven of the church, the body of Christ, at His appearing, according to 1 Corinthians 15:51-54; 2 Corinthians 5:1-4; Philippians 3:20,21; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; The second coming of Christ to establish His kingdom on the earth, in which he will reign for 1000 years, according to Revelation 20:4-6
